Why Dogs Like Toys With Noise
I have watched my friend’s labradoodle seek out the one squeaky toy in her overflowing toy basket so that it sounds off every few seconds. It made me think, why do dogs like noisy toys, especially squeaky ones, so much? After some research, it was revealed to me that dogs like squeaky toys because they satisfy a prey drive. In the wild, injured prey–such as birds or field mice–emit squeaks and cries similar to the high-pitched sounds squeaky pet toys make, revealing condition and location of prey to the dog on the prowl.
Dogs also enjoy noisy toys because they are more interactive than other toys. It feels good for them to satisfy their natural chewing instinct, and they like the sound the toys make (even though they might drive US crazy after awhile). Larger breeds may be able to all but inhale a squeaky toy and pull out the squeaker within minutes, so match the size of toy to the size of dog, investing in more durable toys for larger breeds or aggressive chewers. The squeaking mechanisms, when removed from the toys, can present a dangerous choking hazard, so keep your eye out for them if you see the other tattered remains of a noisy dog toy. Squeaky toys are usually tough rubber or heavy plastic and can go from indoors to outdoors, which also makes them an enduring canine favorite. Finally, dog toys of all kinds make exercise fun for a dog, especially when the dog is indoors.
Time to get rid of the Wool?
I think it’s time to do away with the ski mask now?
A think a simple tee shirt will do now.
All Natural or Not
I have been doing so much research on the many varieties of treats for dogs and horses. I have to admit that there are so many processed treats, too many to count! But there are not half as many all natural treats.
You have apples that you can feed your horse, thats natural. You have peanut butter you can give your dog, thats natural.
There are treats that you can hide inside of dog toys.
When you look at the ingredients, are do you look at the ingredients, do you know what you are looking for?
With that said, What do you choose? Let me know your choices. What do you usually purchase?

Does your dog or horse have a face like this? I call this the pathetic look.
Dog Backpacks
The concept of the dog backpack is not a very new idea. As long as dogs have been part of the domesticated lifestyle of mankind, people have utilized their dogs by creating dog carriers for them so that they can help carry the load where ever they are going. In today’s society, it is more of a luxury item then an item of necessity. Today, dog backpacks are very popular with those hiking and camping on or along the great trails and wilderness sites of the world. There are a few things to consider, however, before going on your trip with your canine pal loaded up with camping gear.
One thing to consider before purchasing your dog’s backpack is to make sure that it fits your dog properly. If possible, bring your dog to the store and get them a fitted properly for their backpack. If you are thinking of putting any kind of extensive load into the backpack, nature it fits snugly and is okay for the dog to wear for long durations of time. Never overload the backpack, especially if your dog is a smaller variety which cannot support a large amount of weight.

Remembering Daddy
Almost everyone that is a dog lover has watched the Dog Whisperer at one time or another. Whether you agree with Cesar Millan’s techniques or not, it is time to celebrate a star of the show, Daddy. We also get to celebrate his adopted “grandson”, Junior, as he carries on the legacy.
I don’t want to do any injustice to the article so I am simply attaching the link.
Keeping Your Pet Fit and Happy
As any dog person will attest, their canine friends are unlike cats in an infinite number of ways. For one thing, dogs require much more attention than cats, and they need to be outdoors to get a regular dose of exercise. It’s unfortunate, then, that a busy owner’s work schedule can come into conflict with these doggie demands. If you spend the majority of the day away at the office, your dog can grow bored and fat just waiting around the house.
On the other hand, the world outside the house is filled with stimuli for a dog to enjoy unique sights and scents that can’t be duplicated indoors. By setting up dog exercise pens in the backyard you can ensure that your four-legged friend gets plenty of stimulation. Just be sure to stock the pen with plenty of food and water.
